I know I'm not alone when I say the thing I'll remember most about Nan is her love of life. No one laughed harder than Nan and it was infectious. Whether it was at pop's joking, my father's teasing, or me showing concern for her Cripes condition, you knew you hit gold when she'd start to wheeze, double over, and her voice would go up several octaves with her "hoooo, hoooo, hooo" laugh. If Nan was having fun, you were having fun. And that's why she was so well known and loved. Even when she visited me in Yellowknife, at 89 years of age, she found friends and Bingo here. I'll miss Nan tremendously but the joy she's brought will stay with me forever.
