It is with great sadness that the family of Ronald Lewis Pearce Watkins announce his passing on August 18, 2024, at the Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Centre in Twillingate, at the age of 87.

Ronald is predeceased by his parents: Peter and Ruby Watkins; his wife Dorothy; brothers Gilbert and Bruce Watkins; and his brothers in law Otto Rogers and Eric Anstey.

Ronald leaves with fond and loving memories: his children Jeff (Marina) Watkins and Angelia (Spencer) King; grandchildren: Tristan (Lesley), Alexandra (Alex), his sisters Geraldine Rogers, Pansy Anstey; sisters in law Goldie Watkins and Clara Watkins, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Doctors and the Nursing staff of the Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Center - especially the Long Term Care Staff who went above and beyond caring for “Pop” , (as they called him), as if he were their own family member. The many hours he spent at the nursing station brought him great comfort.

Donations in Ronald's memory may be given to the Central United Church, Twillingate.
