Obituary of Meta Grace Troake

It is with great sadness that the family of Meta Grace Troake (Jenkins) announce her passing at the James Paton Memorial Hospital Centre on October 3rd at the age of 87. Meta was predeceased by her parents, Theodore & Sadie Jenkins, brothers Bill (Ada), Everett (Joyce), Raymond (Hazel), Lester (Lorraine); sisters, Marion (Harold), Joyce (Allister), Jean (Eugene), Ada (Fred) Eileen & Baby Phyllis. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, husband of 63 years, George; children, Marilyn (Tony), Trevor (Marina), Susan (Mark); grandchildren Allison, Ashley, Olivia, Emma, Andrew, Samantha & Mitchel, great grandchildren Avery, Ella & newest little baby Amelia; brothers Grayson (Josephine), Wayne (Rona), as well as a large circle of extended family & friends. Meta was an accomplished knitter and baker. Over the years, she was known for her shortbread cookies, pea soup and chocolate cakes. She was an expert at crossword puzzles and loved watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. Her spelling skills over the years were outstanding. Special thanks to the Staff of James Paton Memorial Hospital, as well as the staff of Nightingale Manor, where Meta & George have resided for the past three years.
