Its with great sadness that we heard the news of Nelsons passing. We are really going to miss him. When he drove by the cabin on his quad at 96 years old, he would put such a huge smile on our faces as we could see that he loved his life to the fullest each and every day. We are so grateful that he would take the time to re-live the stories of the early days in Little Harbour and pass on his immense knowledge. We will miss you my friend.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Nelson, and so close to his 98th birthday. His memories of the past were remarkable, and his life was truly an inspiration to us all. My children remember the things he made for them and I really value the discussions we had on Lower Little Harbour and our family history. Praying for you and your family. James Rice

We are saddened by Nelson's passing and send our love and sympathy to all his family. Nelson was a kind and gentle man, respected and admired by all who knew him. He worked hard and cared deeply for his family and his community. His stories of the early days that he could relate in great detail will always be remembered. One in particular that I remember is him telling of how he used to walk up from Lower Little Harbour 3 o'clock in the morning to go fishing with my uncles and how Grandpa John would have breakfast ready for him when he got there. We have many special memories, and my children and grandchildren will treasure the things made by his own hands that he gave each one when we visited. I have my own sleigh that will always be special to me! A trip to Little Harbour was never complete without going to see Nelson and I can't imagine what it is going to be like without him, he was like family to us. We will miss you Nelson but you have left us all with wonderful memories. Thinking of you all. Love from Paul and Daphne LeDrew, children and grandchildren.

So saddened by the news of Nelsey's passing. Our heartfelt condolences to the whole family. Pop and Nelson had such a wonderful friendship and a bond that was shared with our family too. I was so lucky to see Nelson when we were in NL last time, to get hugs from him and feel a little closer in that moment to my poppa. The two of them are up there having some kind of time I'm sure. With love to you all...Karen and family
