Thinking of all Lornas family at this sad time. I had the privilege of meeting Lorna in 2002 and within 15 minutes I had an invitation to my first of many meals with her and Gord and had gained a friend for life. Dana and I spent many nights playing cards at their house and listening to many a story that Lorna had to tell and ended every visit with a lunch. Lorna was such a special person who touched the lives of all who new her. Lorna may be gone but definitely never will she be forgotten.

Im so sorry to hear of the passing of Lorna... truly an icon in the town of Twillingate. My visits home - she would always speak to me and ask me how things were getting on in the States. :) Lorna was my first boss when I was 16 and worked during the summer at the museum. Two distinct memories from that time were the day I accidentally broke the glass out of the book cabinet and Lorna came flying around the corner wondering what all the racket was about. Ill never forget that time and we always laughed about it when she saw me years later. Another memory was how much any of us hated to work late at the museum and check upstairs before we locked up as we all hated to walk around upstairs in that museum when it was dark outside. Im sure a lot of us have Lorna memories. She will be missed, rest in peace.

My sincerest condolences to Lorna's family and friends, with special 'hugs' to my old friend and colleague Annette and my new friend Kelly. When I joined the Department of Tourism over 30 years ago, one of the key people in the tourism industry and a person synonymous with Twillingate was Lorna Stuckless. Lorna was our go to person in the area to showcase Twillingate to our travel media, TV crews and tour operator guests. Lorna was there to take guests on a tour of the area, the museum, the craft shop and the Fish Fun and Folk Festival. She shared stories of the area, its history and its people, like Marie Toulinguet. She was proud of the heritage, and culture of the people and shared it with us, our 'travel influencer' guests and in turn to the world. Lorna was one of the tourism leaders in the Twillingate area and very influential in making Twillingate a must see destination.
