Obituary of Otto S. Young

Passed away on January 16, 2020 at the Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Centre, Twillingate, Otto S. Young, age 79 years. He was pre-deceased by: parents Harvey and Sadie Young; grandson Nicholas Young; sisters: Shirley (Lloyd) Whitehorne, Doreen (Herbert) Head and Barbara (Jack) Sargent. Otto leaves with many loving memories: wife Shirley of over 56 years; children: Claudia (Lauren) Lipka, Dean (Shirley), Dana Mercer, Darren (Kim), Darlene (Stephen) Keats, Debra (Larry) Pond; grandchildren: Weston, Adannah, Jason, Abigail (William), Caroline, Andrew, Courtney, Matthew (Allison) and Stephanie (Gregory); great grandchildren: Hailey Jane, Nixon, Benjamin, Kelsey and Hayden; Sister Sylvia (Job) Goudie: furry companions: Daisy, Sambo and Nova, the family cats; as well as a circle of nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends. Visitation will be held at the Isles Funeral Home, Twillingate on Sunday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service will be held from the Central United Church on Monday January 20th at 1pm, with Reverend George Stockley officiating. Donations in Otto’s memory may be given the SPCA.
