To Loretta, Pearce, Edward and families So sorry about yours Dads passing. I have many Happy memories of him staying with us in Toronto and us staying with Gord and Irene in Twillingate. They always made us welcome. I especially remember one day, he took me out in the boat to some of the local fishermen's nets and Lobster traps. It was straight out from their house. The fishermen were throwing fish back in the water and I ask what they were doing? Gord told me they were throwing Flounders back as they didn't want them. I could not believe it. I grew up in Ireland beside the sea in a fishing village and loved flounder. The fisher threw a couple in the Boat for me. We went back in the house and Irene got her big pan on the stove and fried them. I never tasted anything so good! Irene laughed and said they were still alive. We had lots of fun together. Gord changed the words of Wolverton Mountain to White Hill Mountain and we sang it and got silly. All good memories. I hope, each one of you will have Happy Memories and celebrate your Dad's Life. You are all in my thoughts and prayers at this time, also Junior, Goldie and families as you grew up beside your uncle Gord. and Aunt Irene. Love, Rita Gillard and Family
