Obituary of Gordon E. Gillard

Passed away on November 14, 2020 Gordon E. Gillard of Twillingate, at the aged 95 years. He was predeceased by: wife Irene; parents Albert and Lydia (nee-Burton) Gillard; brothers: Pearce (Willie), John (Amy), Raymond and Douglas; sisters: Marion Kennedy and Mabel Gillard. Gordon leaves with many fond and loving memories: children: Edward, Lorretta, Pearce(Ruby); grandchildren: Kelly(Randy), Cory(Violet), Travis(Leanne), Penny-Lea(Craig), Jasmine(Peter) and Heidi; great grandchildren: Brianna, Mitchell, Kelsea, Aiden, Emma, Isaac, Riley, Lillian, Charlie, Parker, Tylor and Devon; brother-in-Law Maurice Kennedy and Melvin (Phillis) Welsh; Sisters-in-Law: Cleo Gillard and Rita Gillard; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The Gillard family would like to express a special thank you to their extended family, the doctors and nursing staff at Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Center Long Term Care Unit for their loving care and devotion to Gordon over the past nine years. In light of the current Covid-19 pandemic, the health and safety of our families and our community continues to be our highest priority. At this time, there will be a private family service with burial at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Ragged Point. Donations may be made in Gordon’s memory to the Salvation Army Building Fund, Bayview.
