Roy Harris Gillard passed peacefully away in his 85th year on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre. He was predeceased by: parents Emanuel and Elizabeth Gillard; granddaughter Hannah; and sisters Doris (Scotty) McDonald and Edith (Clifford) Stuckless.

Roy leaves with loving memories: spouse Mary Fitzpatrick; Children: Lee, Tanya, Tara (Joe) and Michael (Rebeccah); grandchildren Max, Alex, Tim (Cydney) and Sarah (Michael); as well as a circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A visitation will take place from the Isles Funeral Home, Twillingate on Sunday, January 15, 2023, from 2-4pm. A funeral service will be held from the funeral home on Monday, January 16 at 1pm with burial at the United Church Cemetery, Durrell.

Donations in Roy’s memory may be given to the Twillingate Volunteer Fire Department.
