Passed peacefully away at Chancellor Park, St. John’s, NL on Wednesday, February 14, 2024; Ivy Muriel Parrott at the age of 79.

Ivy was born June 15, 1944, to Leonard and Muriel Nichol. She grew up on Fogo Island and married Austin Parrott, together they raised two children, and she was delighted when grandchildren were added to the family. Ivy was a member of the Moose Lodge Dart League in Oshawa, and she loved church. Especially when she could attend with her mother in Twillingate.

Ivy is predeceased by her parents Leonard and Muriel Nichol; her husband Austin Parrott, brother Max Nichol, sisters Cavell Reid, Elizabeth Chaulk, Cassie Nichol, her mother and father-in-law John & Angela Parrott, brothers in law Jim Parrott, Charlie Parrott, Claude Chaulk, and Jerome Parrott.

Ivy leaves to mourn with precious memories, her children Denise (Glenn) Hall, and Dennis (Kristy) Parrott; grandchildren: Justin (Samantha), Brandon (Melodie), Brittany (Andrew), Angela (Fred), and Austin, great grandchildren Harley, Madison, Greyson, Alex, Teddy, Jase, Addy, and Holden; siblings Glen (Ruby) Nichol, Wayne (Wanda) Nichol, Barry (Sherry) Nichol, Golda Nichol, Rowena Nichol, Mavis Nichol, Sharon Nichol; brothers and sisters in law Fraser Reid, Doug Page, Dave Parrott, Tom Parrott, Kevin Parrott, Mary Nichol, Marion and Betty. As well as and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Donations may be given in Ivy’s memory to the Calvary Pentecostal Church Cemetery Fund, Twillingate.
