Obituary of Marguerite Beatrice Hicks

Passed peacefully away at the Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Centre, Twillingate on Thursday, February 22, 2024; Marguerite Beatrice Hicks at the age of 86. Marguerite is predeceased by her parents Agnes and Basil Rideout; brothers Wallace (Evelyn) Rideout, Reginald (Elsie) Rideout and Hardy (Marjorie) Rideout; sister Geraldine (Cecil) White; brother-in-law Gordon Noble. Marguerite leaves with beautiful memories, her husband of 64 years, Ivan; their children Deborah (Peter) Butt, Judy (Craig) Clarke and Brenda (Terry) Vatcher; grandchildren: Jillian (Matthew), Steven (Kelsey), Jayna, and Mackenzie (Kyle); great granddaughter Hannah; sisters Gladys Noble, and Pearl Loveless; brother in law Lloyd (Elizabeth) Hicks and sisters-in-law Goldie (Robert) Stockley and Mildred Rideout, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Special thank you to the Long Term Care Staff of The Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Centre who all provided Marguerite with loving care and support. Donations may be given in Marguerite’s memory to the United Church Cemetery Fund, Little Harbour.
