I remember when I was younger and visiting Newfoundland with my sister we stayed at Aunt Carrie's house and she was always so kind, caring and treated my sister and I like a second mother would.. She truly was one of a kind and she will be greatly missed.. May she rest in peace..

I was so sorry to hear of Carrie's passing. My Condolences to you Hayward, to James, Pam, Jeffery and Matthew and all the families. From the first day that I met Carrie till the last day I met with her last week, she had always made me feel welcome. We have laughed and cried many times over the years and I have learned a lot from her. How to time when to put the veggies on for a cooked dinner so everything would be done the same time! She taught me to crochet and knit, some of her patterns I still use and her work adorns my house still. She was the best! What more can I say. Rest In Peace Carrie, and Thank you!

Our deepest condolences to Hayward, Pam, James, Jeffrey, Matthew and extended family. Aunt Carrie was a lovely, caring and beautiful soul. I'd like to think she's having a fabulous reunion with my mom, Louise...a cup of tea in hand, a long chat and a few laughs. Rest in peace, my dear.
